What are the 5 Peak hours?
December 17, 2020
The 5 Peak hours refer to the five highest Peak per year. In Ontario, Peak pricing is calculated based on these 5 Peaks. Other states / provinces may experience more or less Peak Hours depending on the capacity of their grid, population density, commercial / manufacturing presence, renewable adoption, battery / generator usage, etc. Different regions also may opt to calculate Peak pricing differently by including more Peaks (i.e. the 12 highest Peaks, instead of 5).
